Sidecar was opened in the summer of 2007 by John and Bart DeCoursy, brothers born to an Irish mother and an Italian father. While it’s possible they could have ended up in some other profession, it’s doubtful they could fight destiny’s gravitational pull towards food and drink.
Both began washing dishes at the age of fourteen, and eventually carved out their niche in the back of the house and front of the house respectively. What started as a way to earn money to help pay for school became an education in hospitality. Twenty years later, Sidecar is the culmination of the experience, determination and philosophy of the two brothers; a warm and comfortable atmosphere that serves honest food and drink, crafted with integrity and technique.
Whether you are in the mood for a burger and a beer, or looking to celebrate with cocktails and oysters, Sidecar can happily accommodate.
